Campaign at schools to achieve 95% MMR2 coverage at Belgium

Colleagues in Flanders plan to use European Immunization Week to boost uptake of the second dose of the MMR vaccine to reach 95%. They are working with school health services to give vaccinations at the beginning of the school year and send a reminder to those who have not yet been vaccinated. They intend to portray measles as an aggressive creature and the slogan will be “Give measles the final jab”.See More

On Saturday April 21st there was a health conference on vaccinations to actualise the public health goal on vaccinations for Flanders and an action plan to realise it.Mr. Jo Vandeurzen, Flemish minister for Welfare, Public Health and Family proposed the new goal at the end of the conference.
