Encouraging news for MMR uptake in the UK, polio in India

The United Kingdom has reached a 90 percent uptake rate of the MMR vaccine among children under the age of two. This is the highest that MMR vaccination coverage has been for the past 13 years (since approximately the time that Andrew Wakefield's study linking the MMR vaccine and autism was first published). Although 90 percent is still several points away from the 95 percent vaccine uptake needed to ensure herd immunity, it's a step in the right direction.
