Live Q&A session: Building trust in vaccines and the services that deliver them

Following the Region-wide success of European Immunization Week 2012, the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and the UNICEF Regional Office for CEE/CIS invite you to participate in a Live Q&A session on the EIW campaign site.

The Live Q&A will take place on Thursday, 10 May 2012 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. (CEST - Copenhagen).

Topics for discussion will include:

  • Trust, confidence & immunization: Eroding trust in vaccines is a major issue facing immunization programmes today. How can we use innovative and new methods to build confidence? What is the role and what are the needs of front-line health workers in building and sustaining trust? How can national and international systems truly support them?
  • Successes, challenges and lessons learned from EIW/WIW 2012: How can experiences from this and previous years’ initiatives help us improve the event in the coming years?

Current members of the EIW campaign site can automatically participate in the Live Q&A by either following this link, by opening the chat bar at the bottom of the campaign site or by clicking on “Chat” in the menu bar at the top of the site.

We encourage you to submit questions and comments prior to the Live Q&A by sending an email to Chelsea Hedquist (che@euro.who.int) or by leaving a comment on the event page.

Experts available to answer questions will include:

Dr. Dina Pfeifer, Programme Manager, a.i., Vaccine-preventable Diseases & Immunization (WHO/Europe)
